Fluidigm / Fuseproject
Created in collaboration with Fuseproject for Fluidigm’s brand launch, this experimental film explored how design could make advanced biotechnology feel more intuitive, human, and alive. Fluidigm’s Juno platform was introduced as a breakthrough system for high-throughput DNA testing, capable of working with low-concentration DNA samples and returning genetic test results in under three hours. Fuseproject’s broader design challenge was to bring clarity, interaction, and visual identity into a field often defined by complexity and clinical distance.

My approach translated microscopic biological systems into a visual language of motion, filaments, flow, and responsive structure. The forms move like living tissue, but are built with the precision of scientific instrumentation, sitting between cellular behavior, engineered material, and data in motion. What began as an experimental film for the unveiling of the machine became a reference point for the broader design language, influencing the UI and the way the product expressed itself on screen. The result was a visual system where biology, interface, and industrial design felt connected, turning the act of testing into something less mechanical and more sensorial.
